About Our Practice

Our mission at Henry Vision Center is to guarantee patients the best possible vision performance by providing the highest quality vision and eye health care possible in a professional, comfortable, and patient friendly environment. We pledge to keep our patients’ needs as our first priority in everything we do. We will maintain the highest health care standards, state of the art instrumentation, and our patients’ confidence through education and commitment to continued improvement in our profession.

Dr. Nickson Henry
Dr. Nickson Henry has been practicing in the Atlanta Metro area for the past four years and established the Henry Vision Center in March of 2009.

He has extensive experience providing comprehensive eye examinations for adults and children. His areas of interest include treatment of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic eye care and dry eye, as well as pre and postoperative co-management of refractive surgical patients.

Dr. Henry earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2001 from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida. After completing his undergraduate studies, he earned a Bachelor of Visual Science degree and a Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2005. He received citations for clinical excellence during his Low Vision Internship at the William Feinbloom Vision Rehabilitation Center, and during his Pediatric Internship at the Mr. and Mrs. Thomas P. Lynch Pediatric Unit.

Dr. Henry is a member of the American Optometric Association, Georgia Optometric Association, and the National Optometric Association.

When Dr. Henry, his wife and 3 children aren't at home in Stockbridge, GA, they enjoy traveling across America and the Caribbean.

Henry Vision Center is equipped with the latest cutting edge technology in diagnostic and examination equipment. This allows Dr. Henry to provide our patients with the most thorough, comprehensive examination available. All equipment used in our office are digital and interface with our electronic medical record software.

Our office uses a specialized laser called the GDx™ Nerve Fiber Analyzer that enables Dr. Henry to diagnose glaucoma before it affects vision.

To better enable us to diagnose and treat glaucoma as well as other retinal, vascular, and neurological conditions, we use a computerized Humphreys Visual Field machine.

Our office provides digital ocular photography to document retinal and optic nerve diseases, and a pachymeter to measure the thickness of the cornea.
